Belmont District Cricket Club joined the NDCA competition in 1944–45 and has been a proud part of Newcastle’s cricketing community ever since. Despite limited early records, we know the club's first final win came in 1945–46, just after WWII.
From the start, strong leadership and community support have shaped the club’s success—both on and off the field. Special thanks go to the many dedicated committee members and sponsors, whose generous support has helped BDCC remain accessible and competitive.
Over the years, we’ve welcomed elite players like former Sheffield Shield players such as Reg Beattie, Mark Curry and Jamie Heath, along with professionals who’ve helped raise the standard across all grades.
